Cognos BI on TM1-Cube -> Member Unique Name

Hello,

we are testing Cognos TM1 10 and Cognos BI 10.1.
We have a TM1 Cube and try to report on this cube. In Cognos BI a Member Unique Name identifies a member. Sometimes the Member Unique Name has a "^" in it, although the element in TM1 does not have it in the element name.

Do you have an idea why and when this "^" is appended to the MUN?

Thanks a lot,

Toto

Cognos will add parent name with a cap character (^) before the element name in MUN, if same element is present elsewhere in the same dimension i.e. in alternate hiearchy.
For example, we you have one hiearchy as WORLD > EMEA > London and alternative hiearchy in same dimension as GLOBAL > Europe > London, then if you pull London on report, Cognos will add either EMEA or Europe in the MUN to resolve.
