Hi All,
We just noticed an unexpected behaviour of TM1 (9.1sp2upd3 AND 9.1SP3Upd2).
We display control objects,
We go into an attribute cube "}ElementAttributes_Dimension1"
We save a one line test rule i.e. "#Test" or any valid rule = skipcheck = feeders functions...
When we try to delete the rule, we get prompt "Cannot delete rule from cube"
I did the same testing on a classic cube and didn't replicate the problem.
We can delete the .Rux file in the data directory and it fixe our issue but we wonder what is the logic behind this behaviour.
It looks likes it is related to the Control object themselves.
Any idea where that comes from ?
Kind regards,
Olivier

Re: Cannot delete rules (Attribute cube)
Hi Olivier,
I don't think this is unexpected behaviour and also not specifically related to the mentioned TM1 versions. In the TM1 Server Explorer interface you're not allowed to delete control objects (objects with a name starting with '}'). The only way (as I recall) you can delete these objects is by stopping the TM1 Server and delete the object files from the data directory.

Re: Cannot delete rules (Attribute cube)
Yeah this is "normal" behaviour but awkward never the less. Theonly way to delete any control cube objects is to remove the files themselves fromth data directory.
