9.0 to 9.5 and do not overwrite

Post by marina »

Hi,
I have a problem ..
I developed with 9.0 of TM1 cubes on a server that I bring on a TM1 version 9.5 on another server where but I have already developed
other cubes other than those present in version 9.0.
How can I do without overwriting the contents of version 9.5 and migrate data from 9.0 to 9.5?
Thanks to all! :ugeek:

First migrate the 9.0 cubes to 9.5.x unicode within a separate server. Then copy the updated cubes and dimensions into the current 9.5.x database.

This will not overwrite anything unless you have name conflicts. In which case you will either need to rename objects or export and import data.

hello,
I did these steps but nn I solved my problem:
*) I turn off the service
*) I copy the folder CXMD (server 1 and version 9.0) inside \TM1Data\CXMD (server 2 version 9.5) going to change the names to the same file
*) restart the service

Architect run but then shows me the server CXMD nn but I can take no action.
Thanks to everyone for the help .. :D

Do you mean that you can't log in to the service? e.g. you click on "CXMD" and nothing happens?

Or have you logged in but don't see any objects e.g. cubes and dims?

If you open the server log file, where has it got to in its attempt to start up?

If you just copied the entire contents in the data folder from one TM1 server to another, did you bother to take a look at the tm1s.cfg file and make sure all the settings are appropriate for the new location? More specifically, did you make sure the DatabaseDirectory and LoggingDirectory options were valid?
