Tm1 doesn't show the application on portal to an user. If I gives him admin rights it is shown, when I gives rights only for elements of approval hiearachy the application disappeares from portal.
And also I have another application (based on another TM1 server) where I gave rights only for elements of approval hieararchy and it shows for the user.
Have anybody any ideas?

You need to give us more details. Are you using CAM security? Have you created any groups? Have you assigned any users to groups?

Re: Tm1 10 doesn't show application on portal
I use Cognos 8 security. I download groups in Tm1 from Cognos 8. User is in the group in Cognos which imported in Tm1. The group has rights for elements from approval hierarchy. I belive then user connects first time he appears in TM1 and has right which the group has.
May be (I don't know clearly) user has to login in Tm1 application at first and then he sees application (I connected by this user in Architect at first and only at second on portal - and user didn't see application). But may be my idea is not true.

I don't know if I'm more confused now. When you say application what do you mean? Do you mean the application folder once they have logged on? Are they going in through architect? Are they able to log on to the instance?

Re: Tm1 10 doesn't show application on portal
Application is new name of former Contributor in TM1 10.1. They are confusing us of course - apllications are in Architect now and on portal as well
So you can consider I connected to Contributor and didn't see Contributor application on portal.
As for Architect - I connected to TM1 server through it at first by user login. The result was the user didn't see Application (Contributor) on portal.
Then I deleted the user from TM1 server and when connected to portal by the user login and saw Application (Contributor) on portal. So may be the user has to connect first time through portal if he wants to see Application on portal.
May be It isn't correct conclusion but I haven't risked and checked it yet.

Now it makes a little more sense. I've not really looked at contributor in 10 yet. Do you have to do anything within it as the admin so they get access???

Re: Tm1 10 doesn't show application on portal
take this with a grain of salt, as I was just "playing around" with TM1 10, but this happened to me when my test user did not have permissions on any CUBES in the model. Once I granted the appropriate cube security the Application displayed when I logged in to the portal as the test user.
