Copy & Paste

Post by ima_canuk »

Hi All,

New user here... researching the doc'n for copy & paste and spreading and trying to figure out the basics, my questions are:

1) When copying from an excel template to TM1 Web, what are the parameters/restrictions?
- can you only c&p from 'n' to 'n' level in each app ? Are there other restrictions ?

2) Spreading..hmmmm
- what are the rules here ? Can I spread from a calculated cell? Can I spread to calculated cells?

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Generally speaking you can only write to N level cells. (Strings are an exception, but that's rarely relevant.) Data spreading is simply another way of writing to N level cells.

Have you read through the relevant chapter in the User Guide, which can be found here? It provides a good overview of it.
