Has anyone else seen this issue?

In an Excel sheet, we have a cell with a TM1 DBRW formula and also an Excel custom Data Validation which points to a list on another worksheet.
In TM1 9.5.1 this scenario works fine; in TM1 9.5.2 it returns "TM1 Error". We reproduced this repeatedly so it is systemic.

How is the data in the list structured? Hard-coded values or formulas? If formulas, are they TM1 formulas? SUBNM or DBRW? Any inter-referencing going on? I use this very scenario all the time on 9.5.2 so I know it works. You must be doing something a little differently.
