TM1 sourcing Hyperion Financial Management

Hello All,
In one of our implementations we came across a customer who has already Hyperion Financial Management and wanted to source HFM for some business analytics in TM1.
They use HFM for the monthly/quarterly close and TM1 for business analysis and planning. They idea is to allow them to get their data during the close process directly from HFM and not from the GL.
Any idea what needs to be done to execute this type of request?
Thanks,
N

Why? Is the data in HFM already "enriched" in some way that needs to be included in a TM1analysis cube as well and you don't want to need to maintain the enrichment logic separately in multiple places? In my books that would be a valid basis for loading from HFM. (By "enriched" I mean adding additional dimensionality to the data or additional calculated accounts or KPIs that don't exist in the GL.) Otherwise it would be typically easier and cleaner to load the same data to TM1 directly from the GL as it is likely the GL will have a good clean ODBC interface and be easy to load from, ... unless of course the GL is SAP and a real pain to get data out of in an automated timely manner in which case I could also understand a desire to piggy back off an existing load interface (but again I'd just take the same ABAP extract or BEx query and do a separate load unless there was a compelling reason to do otherwise.)

I guess that at some point during the close process, they are using only HFM to book ontop entries thus the data in HFM will be the most up-to-date.
