Connecting to a Sybase 15.0.3 database

I would like to connect to a Sybase database from TM1 (TI).

I am already querying an Oracle database using a 64-bit Oracle driver (Oracle in OraClinet10g_home1) on my windows server 2003 box

Has anyone done this before? Which ODBC driver do I need?

Also, can I use a 32-bt driver, as I have been told that a 64-bit driver may not be available.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

As you are using a 64-bit Oracle ODBC Driver on your Windows Server 2003 box, you must be using a 64-bit TM1 Server for Windows x64:
A 64-bit TM1 Server for Windows x64 supports only 64-bit ODBC Drivers, it does not support 32-bit ODBC Drivers.

Thus you must use a 64-bit ODBC Driver for Sybase:
Commercial 64-bit ODBC Drivers for Sybase ASE 15 for the platform 64-bit Windows x64 are available from Sybase or from third party vendors like Data Direct or Easysoft.

When I did this, the driver functionality was dependent on installing a lot of client software as well as the actual ODBC driver. There was a peculiarity that the driver would only work when a mapped drive to the install files was in place... remove the mapped drive and all the TIs would fall over. This may well have been something wrong in my environment, but could be something watch out for.
