Where are Rule Recovery files kept?

Hi,
I'm getting the following box appearing every time I open the rule file: "Recovery File Exists. Do you want to overwrite this file..."
http://img413.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... ilefx9.jpg
I can't get rid of it by saving over the file, or removing and adding the rule file again.
I also can't use the recovery file to recover due to this error:

Can anyone advise me on where the Recovery file exists so I can delete it (also just so I know).
Here is the error log from the .NET Framework error:

Thanks

I stopped trying to look after I found that the first image was illegible and buried my desktop in pop-ups for on-line casinos.
Even if you don't have a proper graphics program on your computer, you can create a screenshot for posting in the Forum by:
- Pressing [Print Screen] for the whole desktop or [Alt]+[Print Screen] for the active window;
- Opening the Paint program from Start -> Programs -> Accessories;
- Going to the Edit -> Paste menu item to put the screenshot in;
- File -> Save As a .jpg
- In the lower part of the Post A Message or Post A Reply screen of the Forum, there's an option to "Upload Attachment".
This is a considerably better option than imageshack's ad-spewing.

With many of those sites everything works fine if you're a registered member. If you're not you get spammed to death and the images get shrunken down to accommodate the ads.
I can't find any reference to recovery files, or spot any in some tests. Which version are you on, and which version(s) of the .Net framework? If it's 9.4, I believe that you need to have the .Net framework version 3 installed to use the Rules editor.

I can use the rule editor even though I think I have .NET Framework 2.
What I'm really interested in is how I can find the recovery file and remove it.
Im using TM1 9.4...

Imageshack is a blocked site at work and it will be for a lot of people, so the upload option is far better
That error looks to be a software rather than TM1 type of issue. If you check the 9.4 documentation (installation guide) it does state that you require .NET 3.0. It might partially work but there are obviously some differences that the rules editor relies on that is causing it to crash.
.NET Framework Requirements
The TM1 Rules Editor requires the installation of the Microsoft .NET
Framework Version 3.0.
I'd give up looking for the recovery files and get 3.0 installed, you'll probably find the issue then goes away

A little relevant thread necromancy here ... this posting seemed to derail into a discussion about imageshack and never answered the original question.
Ran into the same issue using the Enhanced editor with a bad rule when Architect crashed. After a little digging found this link on the IBM site:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... 90763.html
It goes into much more detail but basically check out your folder for %appdata%\Applix\TM1\ for the saved temp copies of the problem rule and delete it. Relevant for 9.5.2 through 10.2.2 at least.
Easy peasy.
