Hi,

I have upgraded our TM1 from 9.5.0 to 9.5.2. We have two TM1 instances with similar (but not exactly the same) data but for different purposes. One of them works fine after the upgrade, but the other one is giving me a lot of problems.

After the upgrade and restarted the instance, I connected to it with Architect and tried to check the data in the cubes. When I double clicked on the cube it will try to load the cube indefinitely and Architect will become unresponsive that I have to kill it. Same behavior when I clicked on the "+" icon next the cube to expand the node. This only happens to one or two cubes in that instance. I can open and browse other cubes just fine.

This problem extends to TM1Web where we have some websheets that grabs data from this cube. When I tried to load these websheets they will keep loading indefinitely.

In the instance that works, it has a cube with a similar data, but with different rules. That one works fine. I tried removing the .RUX file for that cube and restarted the instance. Same result.

Did anyone experience similar issues before and know what is going on? Any help would be much appreciated.

we upgraded from 9.0 to 9.5.2 and did have a few issues with what appeared to be the occasional view getting corrupted. if the default has been messed up then that may be the problem. shut the server down, delete (or at least move) all the views for the cubes giving you issues then restart it. if it then opens ok you should be able to recreate the views.

also, do you have the parameter AllRuleCalcStargateOptimization in the config file? i have a defect logged with IBM on that where in some cases it'll cause the server to go unresponsive.

Bingo! After some trial and error, it is indeed one of views that is causing the problem. After I removed it and restarted the server, the problem went away.

I do not have AllRuleCalcStargateOptimization in the config file. We are still not very experienced with TM1 so we do not even know this parameter exists.
