Hi,

I am new to TM1 and having difficulty solving number formatting problem.

I have four dimensions in my cube and one of those dimension is Measures. This dimension contains Facts/Actuals, values that are coming from database.

I would like to change the number format from 1234.00 to 1,234.

I tried using Server Explorer --> Edit Element Attributes.. but when I see it in cube viewer, I don't see my change. I can change the formatting using cube viewer though but I would like to change it in Server Explorer.

Am I doing it correctly? Please help me if anyone has any knowledge.

Regards.

TM1 Reference wrote:When TM1 displays data in a view, TM1 determines the format by order of precedence, as follows:

Steps
Format attributes applied to the column elements.

Format attributes applied to row elements.

Format attributes applied to title elements.

Formatting applied directly in the Cube Viewer or In-Spreadsheet Browser.
So if you populated the Format attribute for your Measures dimension, then you need to place this dimension in columns. Otherwise use the Format attribute of the dimension that is used on columns.

Do you have formatting set on another dimension? The formatting you have added may be over written in that case.
