Re: Announcements
A couple of house keeping issues have cropped up lately...
The forum policies have been updated to request that users don't PM people for assistance. Please use the forum instead. This is likely to mean a faster response as well as the whole community benefiting from the answer.
Also, the search feature has been found a little wanting. The settings have been changed to allow users to search for exact phrases, but the switch in functionality means that users can't search for words less than four letters. To counter this we've also added in a Google custom search function which can be found at the bottom of every page, or on this page. If you wish to post a URL on the forum or in an email you can use the form http://forums.olapforums.com/customSear ... earchTerms
The forum has had a very positive tone for 99% of its life (and did in its Applix days too), which is why we've not had a formal policy on flaming. A couple of posts recently have been a little short tempered so the admin team would like to remind users to do their part to retain the positive atmosphere we've collectively had for a number of years.

Please do not send technical questions via private message or email. Post them in the forum where you'll probably get a faster reply, and everyone can benefit from the answers.

IBM Partners forum
I've created an IBM Partners forum for discussion of things that might be a little sensitive for the general community. I've included a handful of people that I already know are IBM Partners - you'll be able to see the forum in the list of forums on the home page.
If you're a partner who doesn't have access and you'd like access, please send me a private message (don't use the forum tool to request access as it doesn't notify me).

All,
Please be aware that a recent post highlighting future TM1 product development was in breach of strict rules and regulations created by IBM to protect it's product development investment. Could you all please stick to product information available in the public domain. If you would like to share knowledge of future product features could you please consult IBM first to make sure they are happy with the information being posted on this forum.
Thanks,
The Admin team.
