Hi,

I tried to install TM1 9.5.1 on WIN7 64 bit machine. During the installation process I got the following error:

Module ...\TM1\bin\TM1PerfmonDLL.dll Failed to Register. HRESULT -2147220473 ...

The installation process finished, but most of the application wasn't installed. So I could't use TM1.

I tried to register the TM1PerfmonDLL.dll manually without any success. I got the Error
The Module "TM1PerfmonDLL.dll" was loaded but the call to DIIRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070002.

Any idea what else I can do?

In my experience this can be from using a dll file which relies on another dll file which is missing or corrupt.

• Download http://www.dependencywalker.com/ for free.
• Open the TM1Perfmon...dll file.
• This should highlight missing dll dependancies or other issues.

I'm not about to say this is a guaranteed fix but its a start, since your running windows 7 you might also want to check that you used "Run as Administrator" when running the Setup.exe TM1 Installation.

I have definetly run the setup as admin. Otherwise I don't even get to this point...

The dependencywalker finds two errors relating to dlls.
ieshims.dll and MSVCR80.dll
I'm just wondering how this can happen because my system is setup one week ago.

Any ideas?

That probably is the cause. You see its not that files are going missing, its more that these are files which often come with other software. Especially "MSVCR80.dll" which is the Microsoft C++ Runtime Library. This doesn't come with TM1 or with a newly formatted version of Windows 7, you can get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... g=en&id=29 but you may want the x64 version since your running 64-bit.

I don't know what "ieshims.dll" is but google may help there.

Thanks a lot for your help. Like you said the MSVCR80.dll works now but unfortunately I still need to get the other IEHims.dll registered. There is a IEHims.dll is in the internet explorer folder. But I can't registere this one. "module loaded,... but wrong entry point". I have no idea what to do and already spend more than one day with this problem.

You realize, of course, that the server version of TM1 is not supported on Windows 7? It will run, because I'm running it right now on my laptop, but that's no guarantee it will on your machine. You may want to try the 32-bit version, it is less picky.
