When will next version be released? 9.5.3

I've looked and googled and Bing'ed. I can find nothing as far as a road map for TM1. As we are planning for next year, and we are currently running 9.5.1, should we be looking to go to 9.5.2? Or wait it out for 9.5.3?

9.5.0 12-04-2009

9.5.1 02-01-2010

9.5.2 03-15-2011

9.5.3 ??-??-????

BTW great site had been more helpful then IBM's site.

Do not upgrade production to 9.5.2 at this moment UNLESS you have a need for any of its new functionalities or you're feeling particularly adventurous.
Later this year version 10 MIGHT be released (9.5.3 - unlikely IMHO), but IBM doesn't like to provide any dates beforehand. It will be released when it's released and not a day later. ;)
As you can see, planning for next year is not very easy, I would just stay on 9.5.1 for a while.

Sure, we are also happy with 9.5.1, our server has been stable.

as stated in other posts about release dates, IBM will not provide up front information so planning is impossible. Just go with what you are happy with ;)

As others have said, IBM do not publish road maps or talk about future releases, whether formally or informally. However, purely from a marketing point of view my guess is they will want to have some big announcement at the annual IoD conference at the end of October to generate some excitement; last year it was Cognos 10 (Rob Ashe and a big red cube). Given that the last major release, 9.5, was in Dec 2009 maybe this year it will be TM1? (Rob Ashe and a white and yellow hyper cube?). If so, expect a lot of hype and mystery in the run up to the conference.

But don't rely on that, I could be completely wrong!

{Sniff, sniff....} Mmmm, fresh meat.

I sense on the horizon some more:
- long on glitzy, vacuous imagery;
- short on relevance;
- substance-free;
- marketing department-created
You Tube videos for me to extract the urinary by-product from.

Alan,
Do I detect a slight note of cynicism? :o What else would the Sirius Cybernetic, sorry IBM, marketing department do if they weren't producing YouTubes of taxis delivering red boxes.

btw Last year at IoD even Manny Peres was ambling around with a big red Cognos 10 button badge.

Share and enjoy

What should we make of this?

http://www.amazon.com/IBM-Cognos-TM1-Of ... 301&sr=8-1

This TM1 book says it is "based on the newest release TM1 10" and has a future publication date of October 22, 2011. The book appears to be an inside job... "first and only officially endorsed book on IBM Cognos TM1" and written by "members of IBM Cognos TM1 team".

The naive view would be that a version 10 is coming out in October... but that doesn't seem possible.
