Cleaning a datadirectory of workflow / planning mgr objects

Hi,
I have inherited a datamodel that used to work with TM1 workflow aka planning manager. We are not going to use this anymore so I want to get rid of all the objects created by it.
The planning manager/workflow software itself is not installed on the system (anymore?) so I can not do an 'uninstall' of workflow. (That is assuming that such an uninstall actually cleans the datadirectory of the objects created which I have no experience with but I am somewhat sceptical of this).
I have a few options to do this - wondering whether anyone has any experience with this.
1: actually install workflow first and then uninstall. Definitely not my preferred option and not sure whether that would even work
2: manually delete all workflow objects from the directory.
I.e. - delete anything that contains '}sm'.
- in the datadirectory there are thousands of files .dim.somenumber which to me seem to have been created by planning manager as well.
So I want to delete those as well.
Is there anything else to be deleted? Is there any risk involved in this that anyone knows of? (TM1 951)
