I'm sure that when you read the TI documentation that the description of the AttrInsert function will ring a bell :|

thank you,
but i want to do it with TI using Text as source, i tried with this. But in the maps tab i was not able to do it,
i was getting error because of wrong mapping the elements it was not correct. I want to know the process for this.

Thanks and regards.

That's possibly because the Maps tab is rubbish. It's inflexibile, convoluted and frankly so esoteric that by the time you learn to use it properly you may as well have put the same effort into learning write your own code.

That having been said, though, I really don't understand what it is that you're trying to achieve. I've looked at the file that you attached to your first post but can't fathom what you're trying to create as an attribute, particularly in the context of your statement that:
i want to creata a attribute for the months dimensions because here it is numeric
Some questions that come to mind:
- "Here" being where?
- What's the exact layout of your Months dimension? What are the base element names and any consolidations?
- Is it really an attribute that you want to assign to the elements, or an alias? An attribute (as opposed to an alias) has no bearing on how an element displays in a view so if it's not an alias I'm not sure why you'd raise that as an issue.
- Is it really a numeric attribute that you want to create, as the above seems to suggest? Or just an alias in numeric form?
- What do the columns "Location" and "Manager" have to do with... pretty much anything, really? Are they in any way connected with what you're trying to do?

If all you want to do is assign a numeric attribute with the numbers 1 to 12 to each base element in your months dimension (and I'm not saying that you are; as I said I'm not clear on what you're trying to do at this point), why are you trying to do this "through TI only"? If that is your objective, it would be like using the metaphorical sledge hammer to crack a peanut.

More information should get you answers that will get you closer to your goal.
