One of my users encountering the following error very often.
"Error number 10 has occured but the language file is missing. If you want to get the message for this error copy the language file to your TM1 programs directory and start the server again."

FYI:
-Both Production and Development servers are having TM1s.lng and TM1audit.lng files.
-Workstations are facilitated with 2GB RAM and 300GB HDD
-Servers are facilitated with 16GB RAM and 500GB HDD
- 2-4GB of paging memory on all systems.

I am obliged if anyone could help me in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

It doesn't specify where in the programs directory that .lng file should be. I found mine here: C:\Program Files (x86)\ibm\Cognos Express\Xcelerator\bin and here C:\Program Files (x86)\ibm\Cognos Express\webapps\pmpsvc\WEB-INF\bin. Make sure you've got one in each of those places.

I can see both files under this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\ibm\Cognos Express\Xcelerator\bin and I am unable to see the folder pmpsvc\ on any of my servers.

The latter relates to Contributor, perhaps you haven't installed that one.

Just noticed you said "one of my users" not "all of my users" or "on the server". That would suggest it's a problem specific to that user's setup rather than server side. Have you had a look on his PC?

Also, have you tried searching the various manuals for tm1s.lng?

TM1 Contributor has been renamed Cognos Express (CX) Planner.

CX 9.5 is the first release of CX to include CX Planner, CX 9.0 does not include CX Planner, thus there can be no pmpsvc directory in CX 9.0

Ah yes, the renaming. As well as Contributor being Planner (which is great when trying to convert Enterprise Planning clients), Xcelerator is replacing Perspectives and Web. ICAS is replacing TM1. Nothing like pointless renaming to make things clearer IBM!
