BI Application Architect - Cognos 8
Cognos expert (BI Application Architect / BI Application Consultant / BI Application Developer) with specific expertise working with Cognos 8 - must have Framework Manager, Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Query Studio experience - is required for this long establish organistion with office in Perth.
You will be playing an instrumental role in the end to end design, build and deployment of Cognos 8
Analysis / Reporting Cubes, Contributor Models and BI packages to be used across the organisation. As such the role will best suit someone who enjoys constant user interaction and who appreciates the need to build close, friendly, flexible working relationships!
To be considered you must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of
• Neutralizing acquisitions & divestitures
• Selecting distinct items from one dimension
• Removal of IC Profit & Inventory
• Top down & bottom up scenario planning
• Tree' structure for hierarchical selection
• Expanding/collapsing headers
• Drilling down to other packages
• Conditional formatting & Rags etc
• Technical specifications and process flows
Technically you must have expert knowledge of
• COGNOS 8 Business Intelligence (Framework Manager, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio)
• COGNOS Planning (Analyst & Contributor)
• Contributor upload options, pros & cons and suitable workarounds (as required)
• Security and the workflow module to ensure efficient but secure input, review, approval and visibility of financial data.
We would expect that you can offer a track record gained in large, global "Blue Chip" organisations. And if any of these organisations have been focussed in the manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical industry sectors then so much the better.
