Action Buttons against multiple servers

We've written some dimension loaders to run against a set of servers. The TIs work fine. I have been putting them into an Action Button-based frontend. The environment is 9.4 with Excel 2007. I'm holding the server name as a cell reference.

I am finding that when switching to another server, the contents of the action buttons are damaged, the link to the server name cell is lost and the parameters or scrambled. Thus it's not usable.

Anybody else had this? (I've never been a fan of ABs and I think I was right to stay away from them all these years.)
