Clients (32)

Multi Server
Web .net...excel services...installed only the tm1 web gateway
App up and running. Admin Server...Excel services, perspective, architect... planning sample

When we launch the web: http://localhost/tm1web

get the screen to log on...but goes no where from there. Doesn't bring up the admin server...... should the web gateway install prompted...how can I point the gateway (web) to the app server to talk to the tm1 server. Does the tm1 server also need the web components...if like BI should not.. Can someone please help. I am getting conflicting stories..and the documentation leaves little to be desired...based on the environment above....am I doing anything wrong? Also...the web indicated to us that is needed adobe...why? I understand the tm1 web can export to .pdf...but I have never seen this error before....

If you put TM1Web on a different machine than the TM1 server then you have to modify the web.config file (found in the root of your web site) to tell it where the Admin Server is located. In your case that is the machine that the TM1 service is running on.

Thanks... and I don't need the web gateway on the actual tm1 server correct? Also...we are implementing the full suite... meaning Contributor as well. Does anyone have any best practices etc...of where to truly put the tomcat instance.

BI on separate box....already high usage. Tm1 is pushing the limit of the box? so not good for it to sit there... Another dedicated server? seems to be overkill? What about the web server itself.... when using contributor...where is the most load? Sandbox stores where? TM1 Server? I don't believe it is local....would have to be contained a little bit more central...does anyone have a really good flow of where Tm1 gets its full load. Example:

Contributor...where is the most load.

I would put TomCat on the same server as IIS.

Most of the load is likely to be on the TM1 Server. Sandbox data is held on the TM1 Server.
