Pros and Cons of Installing TM1 Server Application orService

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone had some insight into the pros and cons of installing a TM1 server as an application or a service.

To me is seems that there really isn't any reason to install a server as a service. More stable, can be easily set up to start automatically...

I know I have to be missing some other things, but any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
