Not a question that comes up every day, but we often get questions about the different client security models, particularly LDAP and Integrated Login.
Last week IBM put out a technote which gives a good "one page" summary of the three basic methods:

It includes a link to a "Proven Practices" page on the subject of "Configuring LDAP authentication for TM1 9.5" which also looks like it would be valuable reading for people who plan to go down that path.
