is it possible to rebuild an excel sheet via a TI?

Then the answer is yes OR no depending on what you mean by "via a TI". If you mean can you just run a TI process and specify an Excel sheet somewhere that has an "Active Form" report in it will be magically "rebuilt" then the answer is no. You have to have the report open in Excel (via Perspectives) or have the report open in TM1Web in order to do a rebuild. TM1 action buttons can be set to do a number of things, one of which is execute a TI process. You can also set an action button to issue a "rebuild" command after the button code is executed. So, if you set an action button to execute a TI process, then rebuild the current report, you have acheived your original requirement.
