Hi everybody,

Windows Server 2008 is not in the "Supportet Environments" List of IBM Cognos TM1.
Has anybody experiences with Windows Server 2008 (Enterprise, x64) and TM1 9.1 SP3 / SP4 ?

Used Products:
Server, TM1Web, Architect, Perspectives, SAPConnector + (some apps based on the tm1api)

I have a server running TM1 on Server 2008. I have had issues with installing TM1 Web on IIS 7. Please let me know what your experience has been?

I am installing TM1 9.4 MR1 x64 on Windows Server 2008 64 bit. I choose TM1 Web. In the middle of installation, the process rolls back. However if I choose TM1 (server and client), the installation completes successfully.

Any clue to solve TM1 Web x64 installation on Windows Server 2008?

Thanks
Andre

I remember installing a certain version of TM1 a couple of years back that would install a service as the user who was doing the installation, but that user didn't have rights to run services. It was the axnet service, I think, and I got a message saying "axnet cannot start". If I pressed cancel it rolled back. What I did was change the user the service was running as to Local Host, then clicked "Try again" and it was ok.

So I'd suggest confirming that you are running the install as a full administrator - not just a super user with lots of rights.

check the cognosinstall.log for errors. (or maybe it has been renamed to ibminstall.log) ..
whatever you should find it in %temp%
