Applications folder + Excel 2007

I was wondering if anyone has found a solution for the following. I've been working on converting a number of our reports to Excel 2007 for use with 9.5.1. Many of these have macros so they must be saved with the xlsm extenstion if I also want to keep some of the features unique to 2007 such as iferror, multiple conditional formatting, etc. The problem is when opening the file from TM1 Server Explorer, the macros are automatically disabled and there is no option to enable the macros. I tried setting the }Externals folder on the server as a trusted location; however, since the file is essentially copied and opened from the users temp directory this has no effect. Also, it seems that microsoft doesn't permit you to set the user's temp directory has a trusted source.
I know the most obvious solution is to not use the Excel 2007 format and save as 97-2003; however, there is certain functionality that I prefer in 2007. I know that this is probably more of a problem with Microsoft's security structure rather than a flaw with TM1, but I was wondering if anyone has found a workaround.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
