ODBO vs Package Connector in Version 9.5.1

Hello to all,
i have two Questions and hope someone can give help on it.
Which ODBO Sources are official supported with Version 9.5.1 ( we want to use Microsoft Analysis Cubes Version 2008 ). On the Official IBM Side of supported Envirenouments there is no Information about ODBO i general.
If Microsoft Analysis Cube Version 2008 is supported what is the better way to connect. Over ODBO or over the newe Package Connector
