Can anyone who has installed Cognos Express (xcelerator) provide any info around best practice / share experience on installing express on a server.

On a standard install everything gets installed (including data and logs files) to the "Programs Files" folder.

I am looking to split the data drive and the log drive to two seperate drives
(e.g. D:\.. for Data and E:\.. for logs)
which tradionally for TM1 made the back up strategy for IT a lot straighforward.

At the core Xcelerator is just TM1.

Just edit the tm1s.cfg file in the default install directory to point to whatever data directory and logging directory location that you want (you can also change the server name from CXMD to something more meaningful (but you will then have the edit web.config as well).
