9.1 SP2 U3 Web Reporting Issue

When have been running a report successfully in past months but now on Web get the following err msg:

Operation Failed
System has encountered a problem while handling your request.
Please try again.
If you keep having trouble, please contact your system administrator for assistance.

Report runs fine in Perspectives. Update application but no luck.

Any insight would be appreciated as we have not seen this issue before.

We had this issue when we went to a new service pack in the 9.1 family. For us the problem was the install (or something related to it) was removing the permissions to the ExcelSheet and UserTemp dir directories. Our solution was to grant authenticated users modify access to those two directories and it worked. For some reason the TempChart directory also comes to mind but I am not sure on that one.

What was happening was that TM1 could not create the needed temp files to display the sheet in the web, prompting the generic error.
