hi,
i got an error when i am running the admin server in the services
"the admin server service could not start"
ERROR 1069.
IBM cognos TM1 9.5
Excel 2007
Windows XP.

Unfortunately that error code alone probably won't tell you much. There may be more useful information if you right click on My Computer (on the server, obviously), then select "Manage". Take a look in the Event Viewer (under System Tools), and take a look at the Application events. There should be one in there relating to the failure to start and it may give you a better idea of what caused it.
If I had to bet I'd bet that it's an issue with the permissions of the account that you're running it under. That account can also be cchanged from the management console, in Services and Applications -> Services.
