Hi - does anyone know if you can get TM1 9.5.1 Contributor Approval Hierarchy to use an Alias? The subset is saved using the Alias ('Description') but it always comes through showing the MUN/element name..

unrelated but you can see here another case for being able to include consolidated items as the lowest level in the approval hierarchy (e.g. heads of school or product line managers for example). I am assuming it's gonna come one day.. there will be many clicks until it does.

The easiest way to achieve both things (alias display and C level elements as lowest level in approval hierarchy) is to create a special purpose dimension from your main dimension to use as the approval/navigation hierarchy.

Appreciate that one thank you lotsaram, it is a workable option but it is not all that elegant; requires a rebuild of all cubes/rules Contributors use and creates sparse cubes (not such an issue I know but messy to navigate)... Not necessary/worth it for this application I feel given the small number of users, I'd rather use TM1Web, a submission form & element security rules. 9.5.2.. ;)
