Hi All,
Is it possible to automatically pick up and calculate PTD without specifying which month I'm in? Say I've a time dimension and in that I've just one element called PTD. How can I see the PTD value irrespective of which month I'm in (and that too, calculated automatically?)?

I belive the easiest way of doing that is by building your time dimension so that it will have PTD (Paid to date) element for each month.

See the following post, which explains the same idea. Just replace YTD with the PTD but the concept should be the same.
