Hierarchy destroyed during system crash

I was in the dimension editor, I had moved a couple of elements to be included within a consolidation - it looked fine - I went to save it, and it crashed. Since then, I have lost the structure of the hierarchy... The elements are all listed in index order - none of them are part of a consolidation any more. I've tried restoring a back up taken yesterday, but this has not fixed the problem...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Yep, this is not unusual, more so with some older versions of TM1 than with others. AFAIK, the only way to automate rebuilding your hierarchy is to start up a backup copy of the server, export the parent-child relationships to a CSV (need to write a TI script to do this), and write a script on production to rebuild the relationships there. Some people (3...2...1...) have argued that it's best to always build your hierarchy this way rather than using the GUI. I prefer the GUI and recover when necessary (although it's been years since I had to).

Those would be the ones who aren't in favour of having .xdis spare you this pain.
