TM1 Workflow add-in Triggers Microsoft Navision Install

Hi

On a machine where we have installed workflow in addition to TM1 perspectives whenever we open Excel we get a progress box saying that the system is attempting to install Microsoft Navision 3.70.

If in excel you go:

Tools > Add-ins and Uncheck TM1 Workflow

Then the problem disappears.

I cannot see how the TM1 Workflow.xla can possibly trigger an install of the Navision ERP client.

Does anyone out there have any ideas?

We had a similar situation where everytime one particular user opened Excel she would get the message saying that the system was installing Microsoft Dynamics GP. The 'installation' would complete quickly but the process continued to repeat the next time Excel was opened. It was discovered that the MS Dynamics installation had not completed fully (even though the user could use it) and after desktops re-ran the install scripts the problem disappeared.

MS Dynamics = another name for Navision. so it seems you had the same problem.

I just have to instruct users to untick the box as described.

Unfortunately cannot see what it is about tm1 workflow.xla that is triggering Navision install as it is password protected.
