IBM Cognos TM1 WWSpend Implementation

Post by GDavisCap »

I'm working for a client that is planning on rolling out a TM1 application. We are running TM1 9.4.1. The TM1 application is expected to support 1,000 users and possibly 300 concurrent users in various geographic locations via Excel spreadsheets over a Citrix connection. I have a couple of questions.

1. Does anyone have current success stories and steps to use load runner for load balance testing?

2. Does anyone have news concerning IBM's internal installation of TM1 for their expense reporting application WWSpend?

3. Does anyone have tips on how to optimize existing cubes in order to take advantage of granular cube locking?

Here are a couple of highlights from the IBM Leverages TM1 article found in the source link below.

IBM Leverages IBM Cognos TM1 System for Worldwide Spend Analysis Solution
*The IBM Team needed a solution that used Microsoft Excel
*Initial rollout to approximately 600 analysts and planners in Europe
*Planned rollout to 1,000 users
*Planned rollouts to Asia-Pacific and N. America by mid to late 2010
*IBM developed 13 common dimensions to standardize processes across the regions
*IBM plans to migrate to IBM Cognos TM1 9.5 Web based planning to eliminate spreadsheets for input
