AGO Function on Large Databases

Guys,
While the AGO function works well when using a valid calendar dimension, the SQL it generates is not very efficient. If you are working with a large database that you are not able to aggregate then you may want to look at an alternative. We added a previous column to our calendar view and linked the previous (say week) measures to that calendar instead. We have noticed a large improvment in performance.
I must stress that AGO does work well on smaller aggregated tables,
Jim.
