Is it giving you a specific error message?

I came accross an issue with the paths being screwed up for the SSL directory when we upgraded to 9.4 (from 9.1) . This caused architect not to load. We had to manually change the tm1p.ini in the user directories to point to the new Cognos path rather then the old Applix path.

Our new value that made it work was AdminSvrSSLCertAuthority = C:\Program Files\Cognos\TM1\bin\ssl\applixca.pem. Previously under 9.1 it pointed to a Applix Directory.

Anymore specifics on your situation would be helpful, New Install? Upgrade? Did it ever previously work?

We ran into this when upgrading from 9.1.4 to 9.5. The solution was to delete all tm1p.ini files on the client-- Architect/Perspectives will automatically create a new one if none is found which permanently solves the issue. No word yet from IBM Cognos on it yet, but I presume there was a legacy line in the old file that was causing the hang.
