Hello All,

Could you please share your experince with Hanging Database connection from TM1 process to a Database.

I had recently one experince on one of my servers the process was scheduled through an chore and the process got triggered and was hanging in database que finally DBA killed that inactive session. As soon he has done that my tm1 services came down . I am really confused how did this happen. what can i do to prevent these situations. It would be great help if you can share your experince and advise me how to prevent this situation in future.

Possibly simelar in nature.

I was developing a TI Process that returned data via ODBC. The process hit an error which terminated execution once or twice. About half an hour later the DBA Team called me to tell of 3 inactive ODBC connections to the system. Once they killed them remotely the TM1 server also went down. Not sure I could help much though, I never investigated and just made sure I made no more mistakes.
