System out of memory

Hi All

Just a quick question.

I have 64bit server with 72GB RAM. The system loads up into memory and task manager shows this to be about 6GB.

Occassionally a user does a large browse and gets a "system out of memory" error. The view they are making does seem to me to be using the other 64GB of RAM.

Is there a limit for views that is set as default and so prevents such views and if so is their a cfg setting for this ?

Thanks in advance
Ajay

Hi

True. The default is set to 100MB for 32 bits and 500MB for 64 bits. If you need to, it can be changed with the MaximumViewSize parameter in the tm1s.cfg file. Open this file simply with Notepad. The value you set over there, like:

MaximumViewSize=500

is counted in MB. You do not need to restart the TM1 services for this parameter to take effect.

Happy X-mas,

Wim
