Re: TM1 Web Error - Copy and Paste

Post by Herman Moller »

Hello,

I am getting the following error which works fine in Excel, but not in Web.

Background:

The client is using TM1web to capture and load financial data. They have a capture sheet in TM1web which has an input area and the data is sent to TM1 via DBSEND formulas.

Problem:

“I have designed an upload template for the TM1 web for the Forecast Q3 (we will use this as a base for all other upload templates). It is saved in the Test folder within Applications called “Forecast input. We are going to send an excel version of the upload file to the business units. They will link their underlying models to the excel template and then they will copy and paste the data into the TM1 web file. When I copy and paste the data into TM1 web it seems to work, but when I press the upload button it only uploads part of the data and the rest of the data disappears. There does not seem to be a problem if I enter data directly into the TM1 template and press upload so I think the problem is with the copy and paste process."

Server Hardware:

TM1 Software on Server: TM1 9.4 FP2

TM1 Software on Clients: TM1 9.4 FP1

Windows Software: Windows Server 2003 R2 32bit

Is this a known bug?

I just noticed this on the IBM Support RSS.

COPY AND PAST DOES NOT PLACE THE DATA TO CORRECT CELL ON WEBSHEET
It looks like TM1Web does not like to do this when there are merged cells. I dont know if this is your case, but there does not appear to be a work around.

I think this issue is more to do with Internet Explorer as the websheet is not configured to read 65k lines, while in excel it can. I think a websheet can only pick up a specific number of rows in the screen when you copy and paste.
