Hi,
Does anyone know if Tm1 would have any problems with non-alpha characters in cube/dim names? e.g. '&'
I'm using 9.4 MR FP2 HF16
thanks,
Fionnuala

Technically most non-alpha-numeric characters should work most of the time. However I strongly advise against using anything other than alphanumeric characters and the underscore character. There are links to several thread relating to this in the FAQ post, under the heading "Reasons To Avoid the use of non-Alphanumeric Characters in Dimension or Cube Names". You might want to start with this one, though I recommend reading the others as well. (Don't assume that this is the full extent of the problems that they can cause, though; chances are that you won't know that they'll cause a problem in a particular set of circumstances... until they actually do.)

Non-alphanumeric object names (in general) can also cause pain if you're trying to write automation programs, though again you often won't know that you're going to have a problem until you actually do and will then have to spend time figuring out what's causing it.
