Hi,
Does anyone have an install guide with some screen shots that I.T. can use to upgrade client/perspectives?
1 odd thing i noticed was for FP1 upgrade (after installing MR1), it asks for domain/user id, pwd !?!
and if 'tm1p' was previously in the addin list in excel, it complains until you manually remove it.
But i'm finding app.run "tm1refresh" on active forms quite useful
Many Thanks

Are you trying to upgrade only the client to 9.4 FP1, but keeping the main server at 9.0? In the documentation it mentions that you will be unable to do this.
If I.T. is just installing the Perspectives software, there should be no prompt for domain/userid. Only when upgrading the server should your receive this prompt.
I'm wondering if you've managed to successfully upgrade from 9.0 to 9.4 on the server side? We're currently running into a number of issues, likely due to the differences in the file encoding scheme used in 9.4 versus 9.0 SP1, which is affecting the time it takes processes to run (2 minute processes are now taking 2 hours... ouch!). We may actually have to rebuild all the cubes and models from scratch to get to 9.4.

the server was running 9.0 and the clients were on 8.1.8. we have a dev' box which was upgraded to 9.4 FP1 from 9.0 (SP3).
when the client was being installed, the dialog box for uid/pwd for admin came up on FP1. i just put in mine and it worked fine. (unnecessary i thought..)
booting up on 9.4 FP1 from 9.0 data directory had 0 issues for us. and since our chores are fairly simple, the sql's/processes run at same
speed. only issues were some antiquated tm1 functions on worksheets. (v8.1.8 stuff i think)
just can't find any simple install guides except for the one in help > eng which is huge.

ah, I see. I just went through some of the testing and reference material that I wrote up while preparing for an upgrade and unfortuneately I haven't put anything together for the client install for I.T. Dept. here yet.
