Hi All,
Has anyone seen this problem? I installed a new version of Docker/ Mirantis yesterday and I get an error when I configure PAW.
I was installing Docker on a 2016 server. PAW version ipa_workspace_win_2019_2.1.14.258.
What should my next steps be? where should the license file be placed on the server? Please advice. We emailed Mirantis for advice and have not heard.

Hi Paul,

Windows Server 2016 is no longer supported the file you mentioned ipa_workspace_win_2019_2.1.14.258 is only suitable for installing on Windows Server 2019. The last version of PAW that's supports Windows Server 2016 is 2.0.95. There are different installers for PAW for different windows environments and the 2019 installer will not work on 2016, it will only work with 2019.

Regarding marantis, docker used to be supported by Microsoft in Windows Server but it has now been separated (happened a couple of years ago) and marantis now supports docker. In order to receive updates/patches for docker you'll need to have a separate licence with Mirantis, hence the message you see.

Just been through this scenario with the licence file. We found the instructions about where to put it quite confusing. Ended up with 3 of them scattered around at one point. However, in the end, the location turned out to be the folder we had put in the daemon.json file. Also, don't forget to rename the licence file to docker.lic. I do not remember doing this in our previous install but it definitely had to be done on MCR 25.
