Changing the PAW Login Server and User Content

We are going to be switching the login server uri for PAW and the new connection will be to a different namespace than the current one. Has anyone done this kind of change/migration? Specifically is there a way to migrate user content and security without doing it all one by one through Administration? Or better yet can we map the old users to the new ones so everything stays the same including their recents?
