How to selectively add PAW applications

Hi Gurus,
I am upgrading from 2.0.9 to 2.1 (upgrading 6 TM1 servers databases and respective contributor applications.)
I want to upgrade one database and it's contributor app at a time and move them to 2.1.
Can I move just one application at a time to 2.1 and integrate with what's on 2.1 already?
I am sure this must have been discussed already. I did not know how to search. Please pass me the link let me know if there are any questions.

Thanks,
Paul.

All databases running under a single installation of planning analytics can only run on the same version.

Your options are:
1) Have multiple installs of Planning Analytics, one on 2.0.9 and one on 2.1 and migrate one at a time.

2) Upgrade Planning Analytics to the latest version of 2.0.9 for PA, PAW, Pafe. Do the work to update each instance. And then once all instances have been updated, do the upgrade to 2.1.

Thanks Burnstripe.
I found something called "Lifecycle management" under administration where we can selectively add assets for exporting to another environment.

Thanks,
Paul.
