My Dev server has started to hang when a certain user connects to it. All they are doing is logging in and recalculating a spreadsheet, but it completely hangs the user and the only way to free it up is reboot. The sheet is pretty chunky but i can recalc it fine, the other user is also an admin and yet i can't seem to find a reason why it'd die the way it's doing.
Has anyone had similar experiences and found a reason / fix for it? It's running 9.0 SP3 U7 on Win 2003 Server.
TIA

If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.

...and it gets weirder. The session is constantly hung for the user but i can carry on as normal, run TIs etc. As soon as i log out tho, the session get's cleared!

That sounds disturbingly familiar. As I recall, these were the exact same symptoms that we had when we were enduring 8.2.11 Hell; one user would somehow lock up the whole server. They were only resolved when we moved to 8.2.12.Steve Vincent wrote:...and it gets weirder. Is U7 being used in your production environment as well? If it's not, it smells like there may be a regression bug in it.
