where to find log file for TM1 architect?

I have newly installed PA (TM1) 2.0.6 in my windows system (windows 10 Home version).

Product installation is successful.

Backend services like tm1admin, tm1 web app, and Go New Store server are all started successfully.

However, when I attempt to run tm1 architect, the client interface has been started up for less than one minutes before it crashs.

Event monitor of windows reports that "error module is tm1p.dll, event ID is 1000, and task category is (100)".

I have tried with current user and 'run as administrator', both failed in crash with above error.

So what's the cause of this problem? and where can I find the log file for architect?

Thanks a lot,
Chris

Why don’t you use a recent version ?

That could/should be a reason to move on to the newer tools ?

sorry , I mean advanced rule editor is depreciated from PA 2.0.7.

That's why you need Cubewise Arc. Comparing that the the advanced rules editor is like comparing a Ferrari to a Model T Ford.

Hi,
That could/should be a reason to move on to the newer tools ?
I like to have TM1 on my local machine for testing purposes, but I don't want PAW installed on my local machine as it pretty huge. In which case how do I carry out dev work on my local machine without Architect or PAW?

Notepad++ ? Arc ? :-)

Or somewhere in the network a playground for testing/dev ? Then multiple people can connect instead of just you.

Hi,

I will ignore Notepad++ as I assume this was an attempt at humour! ;)

Well, yeah ok, but getting a new server commissioned at our place....

You can have your local TM1 managed by an existing PAW. Just update AdminHost in tm1s.cfg by appending an existing adminHost address managed by a PAW then your TM1 should be available in the PAW instance. You can add multiple addresses separated by semicolon to make your TM1 available in multiple PAW instances.
