If you've ever wanted to build a decent server for working on projects at home (I know you could do it on the cloud but where the fun in that?) I've put together a video on how I did it. With a total cost of 800 USD it wasn't very expensive at all for 16 cores and 32 threads and 64GB of RAM with room to expand up to 768GB:
