Business Objects Analyst, Consultant, Developer

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Business Objects Developer / Analyst / Consultant for a brand new position in Auckland
Objective: To work as part of a BI team to help develop and help bring to market a new Business Intelligence application for the International Systems. This role will be focused on content creation using BI tools from SAP Business Objects.
Description of Role:
This role requires an experienced BI consultant/developer with skills in the various SAP Business Objects products. The role has two main areas of focus:
1. BI Development - developing the internal BI Application including reports, dashboards etc. This includes a focus on business analysis work to gather requirements and create specifications and designs.
2. Consulting & Support - Implementation and customisation of internal BI Application at customer sites and ongoing customer support.
The main focus of the role, certainly initially will be on application development and this role would suit some with an application development background in addition to BI experience. Any experience as a Business Analyst or doing such work would also be an advantage. The successful candidate will need to work with internal experts in order to build requirements for BI content and then translate this into an output such as a report or dashboard. Programming experience, web development and a creative aptitude would also be useful.
Core Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years experience working with SAP Business Objects products (see list below)
• 3-5+ years industry experience preferred.
• Proven Business Objects implementation and/or consulting experience
• Business Analyst skills - able to translate business requirements into a technical specification and then convert into BI content.
SAP Business Objects skills required:
Must have:
• Crystal Reports
• Business Objects Web Intelligence
• Universe Design
• InfoView
In addition it would be useful to also have experience with:
• XCelsius Dashboards
• Dashboard Builder
• Administration/Security of BO environment
• Lifecycle Manager
(Other products we may adopt over time include Voyager (OLAP), Business Objects Explorer (Polestar) and Business Objects Mobile).
* Training can be provided for any gaps in the above list
Additional Requirements:
The successful candidate should have some of the below list. Most of these represent an advantage but not a necessity:
• Microsoft SQL Server experience is strong benefit.
• Experience using Business Objects Data Integrator I would be an advantage, though not required.
• Experience with Microsoft BI products, especially MS Analysis Services (OLAP) and Sharepoint Server.
• Demonstrated Business / Commercial acumen
• Strong understanding of Financial Systems/Applications
• Outgoing, friendly personality - someone who can relate to customers and internal staff
• Able to commit to Jobpac and demonstrate how this role can help develop their career.
• Any experience or exposure to Construction & Engineering Industry is a strong benefit
