Hello tm1f,
Is it safe to overwrite }Clients alias }TM1_DefaultDisplayValue?
We are using Mode 5 / CAM authentication; Some of the "friendly" names I am seeing are vary between:
- DOMAIN/Proper_Case_First_Name ALL_CAPS_LAST_NAME
so I wanted to sanitize it and ideally remove the "DOMAIN/".
The change survives a tm1s reboot, but am I forgetting anything?
Thanks!

This is just an alias attribute so you can use any value you want as long as they all are unique. Just be aware that the folder name for all private subsets and views will come from this alias.

I noticed that the folders are driven by the alias as I changed it, so as you said private objects also have to be moved. With that in mind, I somewhat doubt that tm1s is in the habit of auto changing that alias. Would be too much headache to move the private objects around.
Thanks you Tom!

That's not really the case guys!

in service 10 2 2, this alim is updated when the user reconciles the slices in pmpsvc applications. At the beginning of the process, your alias will be there, and at the end of the process, this alias will be overwritten with what comes from the bi. As far as I know, in newer versions it is possible to customize the attributes from the namespace to the bi. this is done in the configurator.
