TM1 Web Error Message

Hi All,
TM1 Version - 9.4.1
Local - Microsoft Windows XP
IIS - IISV5.1
I am trying to access the reports created using Excel 2003 under Application folder using TM1 Web.
I am getting the following error message:
Error occurred while converting the MS Excel workbook into XML Format:Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID{000245000-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}from IClassFactory failed due to following error:80010108
I did add the NETWORK SERVICE account (the account the IIS Application Pool by default runs on) to the 'Launch and Activation Permissions' in the DCOM config.I also registered 'tm1ocxl.ocx' but still I am getting the same error.
Any ideas as how I can resolve this issue?

We use TM1 quite a bit. I have seen this error in the past and it is usually caused by one of two issues. First, ensure that the excel file you are referrencing is located in your Data/Externals folder. Secondly it cannot have any detailed graphics/charts or hyperlinks.
Hope that help.

Thanks for your response Brankrn.
I added the excel sheet which I am trying to open, in the Data/Externals folder. The excel sheet is just a plain slice from the GL cube. There are no hyperlinks/charts.But I am getting the same error.
I have both Excel 2003 and 2007 on my laptop. When I try to open any excel sheet which has got an extension of .xlsx in TM1 web, it will automatically open in an excel workbook instead of tm1 web.
But when I try to open anything with .xls extension it will give the error.
Any ideas??

I don't have much more to offer just some obvious things to check: did you set the security for the worksheets to public? Also, check the properties for the worksheets to ensure they are pointing to a valid service? Other than that, I guess I would need to see what is going on to help diagnose the issue.
Sorry I could not be of more assistance.

Thanks for your help Brankrn.
I resolved the issue. There was another software that was conflicting with TM1 web.As soon as I removed the software I was able to view the sheets(under Application folder) in TM1 web.
But when I try to open any file thats got an extension .xlsx(2007 Excel files) in TM1 web, instead of opening in TM1 web it opens the sheet in Excel 2007.
Any ideas as why is it happening?

Which version have you got running on the web server? According to the 9.4 New Features guide:
.xlsx files can be opened in TM1 Web if Excel 2007 is installed on the web server used to
deliver TM1 Web.
If you don't have 2007 on the web server I imagine that that could be the source of your problem.

Try restarting your TM1 excel service. The same problem happened to me recently.

Same problem here. But it doesn't seems to occur on Server install. Only on XP.
Restarting Excel services won't help. If you opened up the task manager, you will notice there are multiple Excel executing. Close all of them and that should resolve your problem. This will help to avoid a reboot.

Are there any updates on this one?
Deleting the excel processes works but should not be required. It seems that the error is preventing the processes from completing.
I am experiencing the same issue with 9.5.0 so no resolution for this there yet.

I had the same error when trying to export one of my many web reports. I had a conditional formula in one cell. After removing the conditional format I was able to get it to export. I am running 9.5.1
